1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course is designed for students of non-psychology major. It aims to provide students with a broad introduction to the field of psychology and its basic concepts, theories, and contributions to the understanding of human behaviors and mental processes. Topics include sensation and perception, learning, memory, language, thought, motivation, personality, psychological theories and principles of human behaviors. This knowledge will allow students to evaluate psychological claims and assumptions in popular media. Throughout the course, students will have the chance to test psychological findings through experiments. The course also includes activities to help business students apply psychological concepts into business.
