1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
On completion of this course, students should be able to
– Understand the concepts of absolute advantage and comparative advantage
– Use models and new approaches to explain international trade
– Apply economic models to evaluate government trade policies
– Discuss the rationales for free trade and protectionism.
