1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
Computer Science and Technology Applied in Hospitality course provides the basics of informatics knowledge and software systems in the hotels:
- The concept of information, information processing;
- MS Windows operating system; Computer network and Internet;
- Composing and editing MS Word documents in hotels;
- Use MS Excel spreadsheet to solve economic and hotel industry problems;
- Design presentations.
- Students get necessity of information technology in the period of industrialization and modernization to meet the requirements of international economic integration through the lectures and case study practicing.
- Information about the hotel information system; Computerized Reservation Systems (CRS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) in the tourism and hospitality industry.
- Through theoretical lessons and practical problems, students firmly grasp and clearly see the necessity of information technology in the period of industrialization and modernization to meet the needs of international economic integration, know how to solve common problems and understand basic software systems in hotel management.
