1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course is an overview of American history. The main thrust of this course is to encourage students to appreciate the significance of America’s social, political, economic developments. For this course, we will cover a broad swath of time from the pre-colonial period to the present. In addition, this class investigates subjects that deal with racerelations, class and gender norms throughout American history.
