1. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This basic sociology course aims at providing students with basic understanding of human societies and social interactions. It looks at how societies are established and how they change, at the influences of society on people’s attitutes and behavior. The sociological theories and research methods introduced in this course will help students understand the ways sociologists answer “why”, “how”, “what” questions about society, social behaviors and social organizations. The sociological insight students gain from this course will help them choose the best action when faced with complex and difficult social and political decisions in this rapidly changing world.
