1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course equips students with knowledge of Public Management in order to strategically manage organizations in the public sector, develop modern management skills. With that approach, the Public Management course focuses on studying the concepts, roles, structures, and fundamental characteristics of public sector management including:
– Characteristics of organization and operation of public organizations (especially state organizations);
– The functional role and structure of performing the functions of public administration in social management;
– The role of policy tools in the management and administration of society and issues related to the policy cycle.
At the same time, Public Management is a new approach with the application of successful case studies in private sector management and public management models around the world to apply to the situation in Vietnam.
